In this article you will learn how to install Prestashop on your website. First of All, you should download the latest version of Prestashop Engine at Prestashop's official website. To download Prestashop latest version, you should to Download section.

Step 1. Uploading Prestashop Package
After you have downloaded the Prestashop Package (assume that you had already have domain, hosting), then go to Cpanel and upload the Prestashop Package using File Manager directly on public html or other directory that you desired, for example:

  • In case you have uploaded it directly under the public_html folder, it will be accessible directly via your domain name - http://yourdomainname.com
  • In case you have used a subdirectory, for example "shop", it will be accessible via http://yourdomainname.com/shop

Step 2. Installing Prestashop
If you are done uploaded the Package, you can access it to through http://yourdomainname.com/ or
http://yourdomainname.com/shop depend on what directory that you had choose before and You will see the Following Page:

Choose language that you prefer, then Choose "I want to install a new online shop with PrestaShop" and don't forget to checklist "I agree to the above terms and conditions." Then Click Next Button. Because Next Page is Check System Compatibility, so I'll skip it to Database configuration.

Assume that you have made a database for your prestashop, if you haven't made the database, you can see the instruction Making MySQL database tutorial.

Input your database name, database user, password then click "Verify my database settings" button. In the Installation type you can choose wether you want a fresh empty copy of prestashop (Lite mode) or Includes all the modules (Full mode). I recommend you to choose Full mode. Because you can decide wether you want to use the modules later. Then Click Next.

You arrived on Shop Configuration Page. On this page, you can set your shop name, shop activity (what do you sell), country, timezone, shop logo, first name, last name, email and password. On this page, you can decide is your website has "add to cart" function or catalog mode only.

Congratulations! You have Prestashop installed on your hosting. Don't forget to delete "Install" Directory and rename "Administrator" directory.

It seems that you can start to manage your own online shop right now. It's easy right?
